Wearing a gi is the traditional uniform for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Over the years, No Gi Jiu Jitsu has become popular because it simulates more of a street fight wear you and your opponent don't have a gi. No Gi training is also popular for MMA fighters because they don't wear gis in competition.
