Elite Sports is one of the most well-known combat sports gear companies in the industry. Their products have been featured in Men's Journal, and they sponsor many UFC fighters, like strawweight Mackenzie Dern, featherweight Sheymon Moraes, bantamweight Albert Morales, and lightweight Christos Giagos.
They carry training apparel, gloves, striking equipment, protective gear, training equipment, and more. Although they specialize in gear for Brazilian jiu-jitsu and MMA, they also have quality products for Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling, karate, and taekwondo.
In this review, we’re going to cover their MMA shorts.
Black Jack Series
They have two series of MMA shorts to choose from—Black Jack and Star. The difference between them really comes down to the graphics and color options. They’re both made of the same material and have the same price.
Both Elite Sports MMA shorts are made of tear-resistant microfiber fabric with flatlock seams, and feature side-split leg slits for added flexibility. They also feature a non-chaffing, two-fold waistband that is secured by a Velcro closure and drawstrings.
Our favorite thing about these shorts is the price to value ratio. These shorts are well made from quality materials, and they only cost $20. Our second favorite thing about them, which is just as important, is the versatility. These shorts can be worn for any type of workout or combat sports training.
A special bonus feature of these MMA shorts is the BJJ app included with purchase. This app features tips and tools to sharpen your grappling and submission skills.
If we had any issues with these MMA shorts, it would be with the overall design and sizing. We found the stitching to be weak making the shorts fit loose. Just make sure you wear rash guards or compression shorts underneath. Other consumers noted that the shorts ran smaller than they expected. Elite Sports has great customer service, so replacing the shorts was not a problem.
We also like that they have color options, however the graphics are not as creative as other brands in the market.
Overall, these are solid MMA shorts that are well made from quality materials. They are very inexpensive and will last you a very long time. We highly recommend them.

Elite Sports has some of the best MMA and BJJ No Gi shorts in the industry. Their shorts are well made from quality materials, and are highly affordable.
Included with purchase of these shorts is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu training app. This feature combined with their quality and price makes these shorts one of the best value buys on the market.
Our main issues with these shorts would be the stitching and the sizing. Also, the graphic design could be more creative.
In the end, these shorts are an extremely versatile piece of essential martial arts training gear. We think every combat athlete should have a pair in their bag.
Our #1 Recommendation
